In Loving Memory of Angel Patton and a Precious 9-Year-Old Girl
EGELSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — With deep sorrow and broken hearts, we honor and remember Angel Patton, 51, and the bright, beloved 9-year-old girl whose lives were tragically cut short in a devastating crash on Wednesday morning in Muskegon County. The loss of two lives—one a caring adult whose love radiated through everything she did, and the other a child whose future was full of promise—has brought profound grief to family, friends, and the entire community.
The crash occurred around 10:18 a.m. on December 10, along Maple Island Road just north of Sullivan Road. According to the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office, Angel was driving northbound when the vehicle lost control and veered into oncoming traffic. A semi-truck hauling a propane tank struck the vehicle, pinning it between the truck and a guardrail. Despite the rapid response of emergency crews, Angel and the 9-year-old girl riding with her were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Authorities have stated that alcohol does not appear to be a factor, and the investigation into the heartbreaking crash remains ongoing.
