GRESHAM, Ore. (KATU) — With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we remember the life of Bryan Ray Robinson, 48, of Sandy, whose journey was tragically cut short on Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 26 near the intersection with Orient Drive.
The crash, which occurred at 1:03 p.m., unfolded in an instant—one of those heartbreaking moments that forever change the lives of those left behind. According to Oregon State Police, a GMC Savannah driven by Ivan Bahena, 46, of Gresham, suffered a mechanical failure and was unable to stop in time, striking Bryan’s Honda Fit as he was slowing down for a traffic light. The force of the impact pushed Bryan’s vehicle into an Infinity QX5 being driven by Cassandra Lea Bellingham, 52, of Portland.
Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, Bryan was pronounced deceased at the scene, leaving family, friends, and the community stunned and grief-stricken. Both Bahena and Bellingham were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
