With profound sorrow, we remember and honor the life of Janice Goldsmith, a cherished soul whose passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

On Monday, December 8, 2025, Janice sadly lost her life following a tragic traffic incident on the Maine Turnpike in York. While the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation, what stands unwavering is the love, warmth, and light Janice brought into the world during her 81 years of life.

Janice was a woman of quiet strength, grace, and compassion. She was known for her gentle spirit, her thoughtful heart, and the way she made people feel truly seen and cared for. Whether through a kind word, a warm smile, or a simple act of generosity, she had a gift for brightening the lives of those around her.

A proud resident of Needham, Massachusetts, Janice held her family and loved ones close, finding joy in everyday moments โ€” conversations over coffee, shared laughter, handwritten notes, and the calm comfort of familiar routines. She lived her life with dignity and kindness, leaving lasting impressions on everyone she met.

Her journey through life was one marked by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she cared for. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to live on in stories, in traditions, and in the quiet spaces of the hearts she touched.

We also acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the Maine state police and all first ย responders and assisting agencies who worked diligently at the scene, demonstrating professionalism and compassion in a time of great loss.

Janice Goldsmith will be forever remembered for her gentle heart, her loving nature, and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind.

Rest in eternal peace, Janice.

You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ
